Tasha R. Hauff of TRHAUFF, LLC is a researcher, teacher, and language activist enrolled in the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe in South Dakota.
She earned a Ph.D. in Ethnic Studies with a Designated Emphasis in Critical Theory at the University of California, Berkeley and has served as a post-doctoral research fellow in UCLA’s Graduate School of Education and Information Science.
As an instructor at Sitting Bull College Tasha co-designed the Native American Bachelor's Degree, which was approved by the Higher Learning Commission in 2017. AS assistant Professor of Lakota at South Dakota State University, Tasha helped grow the Dakota/Lakota language program to include 300 level coursework and more than 80 students in 2023.
Through TRHAUFF, LLC, Tasha now serves tribes and schools more directly to improve K-12 and adult education in the areas of Indigenous language and culture.
